At first I was going for a seafood boil but I quickly noticed that I only had lobsters in my freezer. Well that was not going to stop me. My main purpose is to show you that you can make wonders with the ingredients you already have . No need to break your bank to eat good. Nothing really stop my imagination, but before I mix, match and create I make sure that the spices can go together and that there won’t be a weird chemical reaction in my stomach. .
I used a lot of ingredients to bring up the flavors:
🍅Sun Dried tomatoes are ripe tomatoes that were pre-treated with salt prior drying in the sun. They have an intense sweet tart flavor and a chewy texture.
🍃Dill has a fresh citrus-like taste. I particularly like to have this flavor on my soups or over my potatoes. Dill mix perfectly with garlic.
🧄Garlic: it has a bit of a spicy and a powerful pungent taste but when cooking it sweetens considerably
🌶️Old bay Seasoning: it a a seasoning I got from the store and mainly used for seafood. It mainly has celery, ginger, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, dry mustard, cloves.
The old bay seasoning is completely optional. I only put half a teaspoon because I didn’t want it to empower other ingredients. Use the spices you love and have on hands to boil your vegetables or protein you won’t regret.
❤️🔥I love how my corn turned out tasting. It was soooooooo good. The blend of flavor was exquisite and I may start boiling my corn like that on regular basis.
- 1 lobster
- 1 Corn
- 2 big potatoes (or 5 mini potatoes)
- 4 Sun-dried tomatoes
- Dill : 1 small bunch
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Black Pepper
~Put everything in a pot with 2 cups of water and boil for 15 -20 mins
~You can check your potatoes by inserting a pick or a sharp knife into one of them.
~Serve and Enjoy!
For the dipping use the condiments that you like. I would suggest grating one garlic clove and mix it with 1 tbsp butter melted, 1/2 lime juice and salt.
