Fruity Chia Pudding

Chia seeds are extremely good for the health. Extremely!!! Really??? Yes, yes and yes. Chia seeds are originally from Mexico and are from the Plant Salvia Hispanica. 2 tablespoons of chia seeds make about 20 % of the daily recommended intake for fibers. They are a great alternative for eggs because they are high in protein. Chia seeds can:

  • Lower glucose level for type 2 diabetes
  • Improve bones growth
  • Prevent constipation because of the fiber intake
  • Strengthen teeth, nails and hair
  • Hydrates the skin.

Chia seeds help fight obesity. Indeed they have a satiating effect when consumed before meal, and I can attest for that. Then if you are trying to loose weight it is better to take the seeds before a meal. The seeds gain volume when they come in contact with a liquid and then fill up the intestine. They also prevent you from snacking in between meals. No worries about the calories,  2 tablespoons have 139 calories. They are also the world’s best natural source of Omega 3. Chia seeds are certainly the best for people trying to loose weight and people with type 2 diabetes, but it is best if consume before meals.
