Mackerel is a fatty fish, but has many healthy benefits. It is a great source of Omega 3 and fatty acids promoting proper functioning of our cardiovascular system. It is also rich in Iron, selenium. Vitamin D and some vitamins from the Vitamin B group. Back home in Côte d’Ivoire, I would eat Mackerel at least once a week with Attiéké (cassava couscous). Back there the mackerel is sold on the street and is smoked over charcoal. The aroma will make you come to the vendor for sure and you will indeed enjoy it. Well since I am not “home”, I try to confort myself with this revisited recipe simple to make.
I you wonder what Apki is, I tell you more about it HERE.
